Who doesn’t love a craft they can eat afterwards? Or even during the construction! This unicorn activity is perfect for a quick set up for your toddler, preschooler and all the way up to your adulthood! Even David came to make his own unicorn horn! I’m sure you could swap out the sweeties for fruit for a healthy alternative too!

Suitable for: 2 years +
Set up: 5 minutes
Resources
- Ice cream cones
- Sweets, or fruit to decorate
- Icing sugar
The set up
Add a little water to your icing sugar and mix it all together, your want the icing to be fairly thick so it holds the decorations in place. Once your are happy with the consistence lay out your decorations along with the ice cream cones.
Making the Most out of the activity
Talk about the different colours you can see and how your can use what decorations you do have to create your very own unicorn horn. Activities like this are great for working on them problem solving skills as well as sparking their creativity! I found that the icing held the sweets in place better as it started to set more so it might be worth mixing the icing up ahead of time so it has time to harden a little.
