I saw this little idea on play at home mummy’s instagram and loved it! Its a super easy DIY too! When babies are first born the two colours a baby can see is Black and White, extending to red as they get older so this is perfect for babies to engage with helping to build them nuro pathways. I made this for a friends baby, we wrapped the bunting loosely around her play gym so it was in reach if she wanted to try and grab it.
. Pompoms (I ordered these off amazon they came with lots of other colours too)
. Needle with a big enough eye to fit the wool through.
. Thread the wool through the needle and tie a knot on one end of the wool to stop the pompoms falling off.
. Push the needle through the middle of each pompom, don’t worry about the position of the pompoms for now.
. Once you have threaded all your pompoms onto the wool spread the pompoms into a position your happy with.
. Finally cut the wool and tie a knot to stop your pompoms falling off.
Parent supervision is required to make sure baby is safe and happy.
