Ayla loves her magnetic tiles. If you haven’t got any I would 100% recommend them as the next birthday or Christmas present! We haven’t used them on the fridge before so I thought I would set up a little puzzle for her.

Suitable for: 3 Years Plus (the magnetic tiles have a 3+ rating)
Set up: 5 minutes

The set up
I took the opportunity to do some name recognition on our rocket but that’s optional. On a white piece of paper I wrote down each letter in Ayla’s name, cut them out and used a little bit of pritt stick to glue them onto a tile each. Use magnets to stick a bigger piece of paper to the fridge set your magnetic tiles of to make a shape and draw around them. Remove all the tiles and let your child explore your DIY puzzle!

Making the Most out of the activity
I allowed Ayla to explore the activity without anything until she asked me a question, she found the ‘a’ and said ‘a for Ayla!” and asked me what the ‘y’ and ‘l’ said. She didn’t spend much time doing the puzzle instead she chose to create her own shapes and designs on the fridge, she explored how far the tiles could extend from the fridge and how high she could reach to stick them!
