Suitable for 1 years +
Set up time: 5 minutes
Resources;
. Body wash (whatever you are using for bathtime)
. Water
. Flour
. A little food colouring
. Whisk
. Large Mixing bowl
. A tray to put it in (I used our inflatable sand tray)
The set up;
Add 1/4 cup body wash, 1/2 cup water and 2 tbsp of plain flour into the mixing bowl. If you want to add food colouring add that too! Now whisk it until it is really foamy. If you’ve got an electric whisk it will take about a minute, hand whisking it will take a little longer. Once you are happy with the consistency pour it into your tray! Add cars, scoops, plastic figures (whenever you like really but make sure its easy to wash!)
Note: If you are adding it to a tray your child can sit in stay close by because it can get slippery.
How to get the most out of this activity
Explore the foam together, you can add shapes and letters to it for older children if you want to add some literacy into it. If not let your child take the lead. Ayla made me some hot chocolate, which I pretended was hot so we blew it together to cool it down. Most of all have fun and make some memories.
