Our Review.
I let Ayla choose what colours she wanted some times she names the colours correctly. I offered praise when she correctly named the colour and just told her the correct name if she got it wrong. We also spoke about what marks she was leaving, Ayla has mastered straight line, dot dot dot and scribbles for a wiggly line! Once I had hung the bunting Ayla was very excited to see her artwork hanging on the wall.
TIP – I use card when Ayla is creating a picture we want to keep or as a gift. When we use paper it often gets soggy and rips because she likes to paint in the same spot!

. Card

. Wool or string
. Hole Punch
. Scissors
Method.
Once the paintings were dry I used a template of a Christmas light and drew around it. I got 4 lights out of each A4 picture.
Then I cut round the shapes, hole punched the base and threaded the wool through!
Equally you can cut out the shapes first for your little ones to paint but it doesn’t matter much either way!
