Our Review.
This activity was a massive hit! Ayla sprinkled the coconut and pretended it was snow, the coconut even stuck to the ice cubes as they began to melt. We spoke about how the ice cubes left a puddle as they melted and even tickled the seals flipper as the ice melted away. We pretended the polar bear was looking for his dinner so Ayla hid the smaller animals in the cups and giggled as Polar bear couldn’t find them! When it snowed on the seal I pretended he was cold, Ayla asked to make a house so we made an igloo together. Ayla spent ages opening the door to let the animals in and out.

Method.
. Fill the ice cube trays and food storage containers about half way with water. Put them in the freezer for 2-3 hours.
. Take the trays out and add your animals, add more water filling the trays. I left ours over night but once they are all frozen they are good to go.
. Take the ice cubes and animals out of their containers. If they are a little stuck run the container under some warm water to loosen it.
. Pour the Desiccated coconut into the tray and add the animals.
